"Our homecoming isn't just for WKU, it's for the entire community."New this year is the Citizens First "Homecoming Concert in the Park," which will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Fountain Square Park."It'll be similar to the Concerts in the Park series, but with WKU flair," she said.The concert will feature WKU alumnus Heath Eric and the Rumsey Revival. The Owensboro-based Empire Waistline Long Formal Dress is entertaining and interactive with the crowd, Hensley said. Food, inflatables and games for children will also be available, she said.

At Houchens-Smith Stadium at 8 p.m. will be the Big Red's Roar, which is geared for students, but anyone may attend, Hensley said.WKU football coach Willie Taggart will lead a pep rally prior to Fitted Strapless White Homecoming Dress concert."It is a student pep rally, and it's wild, crazy fun and tradition for the WKU students," she said.On Saturday, more than 45 tailgating tents will be set up in anticipation of the 2 p.m. kickoff against North Texas. During the game, there will be a costume contest for children and adults. Contestants will be judged on the field during the football game, and more than $250 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the person with the best costume in both the adult and child categories.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council Step Show will be Saturday night at Diddle. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m. Johnson said the annual event supports scholarships and students."Last Fitted Sweetheart Neck Beaded Long Prom Dress we were able to give out $8,000 in scholarships from the proceeds of the show," he said.Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door."We try to make homecoming special for anyone to come back and enjoy, whether they graduated from the Hill 50 years ago or last year," Hensley said. "There are a ton of events happening starting Thursday through Sunday.
