IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Veterans Day was Cheap Prom Dresses early for Marines and others who were among the first to live and work at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) El Toro. World War II-era Marines, families and base workers gathered today at the Orange County Great Park to be honored at the 2010 El Toro Homecoming. The event paid tribute to those who shared and documented their lives and memories through the Great Park Oral Pink Strapless Mermaid Prom Dress Project, a collaboration between the Orange County Great Park Corporation and Center for Oral and Public History at California State University, Fullerton.

"This oral history project explores the role of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in the transformation of Orange County in the years after World War II," said Dr. Natalie Fousekis, Director of Cal Pink Sweetheart Neck Baby Doll Dress Fullerton's Center for Oral and Public History. "At the center of this history are the voices and memories of the men and women who served and worked at the base as well as the members of the surrounding community who participated in and witnessed these dramatic changes."

The 2/11 Marine Corps Color Guard launched the day's salute. Orange County Great Park Board Chair Larry Agran heralded the festivities by introducing each narrator by name and their rank or duty at the base. Three of the narrators in attendance were: Captain Dick Ferree was stationed at MCAS El Toro from 1959-61 after Pink Sweetheart Tutu Baby Doll Cocktail Dress the Marines during his junior year of college, and spent the majority of his time at El Toro. Following his time in the Marine Corps he spent nine years in Chicago until his business moved him to Fullerton, California, where he lived for twenty-five years. This event will be held in Burr Gym at 6 p.m. on Oct. 28. However, this year, the two shows will have different components. Charmaine McPhee, the event coordinator, encourages guests to attend both the 7 and 10:30 p.m., shows on Oct. 27 in Cramton. International Yardfest, formerly Yardfest, will be held on the yard at 12 p.m. on Oct. 29. Guests include hip-hop legend Slick Rick, reggae artist Serani, dancehall star Mr. Vegas, and headliner Rick Ross.Erykah Badu and opening act, Dondria, are performing at the "Addicted to the Melody" R&B show.Game day kicks off with the "Hollywood Dynasty" parade at 10 a.m. on Oct. 30. It continues with the game against Norfolk State University at 1 p.m. in Greene Stadium.

Lee County has not beaten Cary since 2004, when the Yellow Jackets won 22-19. Since then, Cary has outscored the Yellow Jackets 152-52.

Last year, two interceptions turned into points for the Imps, as they cruised to an easy 21-7 victory over the Yellow Jackets in a game that all but knocked Lee County out of the 4-A playoffs.

In 2008, the Yellow Jackets had a second-half surge where they outscored the Imps 20-6 but still fell short as Cary's ground attack rushed for over 190 yards in its 34-20 win.

"Everywhere we look, we've got some kind of thorn in our side," said Cates. "Apex was a thorn, Athens Drive was a thorn, there are thorns everywhere we turn. What we want to do with this program is take the next step. We were 2-6 at this time last year and we're 6-2 now. We want to continue taking that next step and getting better. We definitely want to end the streak that Cary has on us."

In order to snap this six-year losing streak to the Imps, the Yellow Jackets have got to figure out a way to contain Cary tailback DeAndre Henry. The junior rushed for 171 yards on 32 carries and a touchdown in last week's win over Middle Creek.

Cary's defense forced the Mustangs offense to cough the ball up four times, three fumbles and an interception. The Imps held the Mustangs to their lowest scoring total all season.

"Defensively, Cary is playing real well," said Cates. "They're very strong on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, they've got a great tailback that can break a 60-yard run through a gap if you're not careful."
